Wafu’s service FAQ (Frequently asked questions)

1.  How can I place a catering order?

 All platters simply can be placed via our website. Quotes can be requested in writing via email to contact@yukako-wafu.com. Yukako is also more than happy to answer any of your questions via text message prior to receiving your written request.

Last minute platter orders may be accepted subject to availability dishes from Wafu Kitchen, send text message to 0418592684.

2.  When is the cut off time of a catering order?

 

 Order for,

  • Monday: 3pm Saturday

  • Tuesday: 3pm Saturday

  • Wednesday: 10am Monday

  • Thursday: 10am Tuesday

  • Friday: 10am Wednesday

  • Saturday: 10am Thursday

  • Sunday: 10am Friday      *not available when there is an event of plant-base dining/workshop.  

 

3.  Do you allow pick-up foods/platters?

 Currently we offer pick-up from our casual dining Wafu kitchen.

 Please confirm the pick-up time each ordering.

 

4. What does the minimum spend of catering order?

 

 We accept from one platter for pick-up. Please check each category / dish for free delivery. 

5.  Delivery Info / FREE DELIVERY applies >>> 

 

 Catering on free delivery must be,

     -  over $150 for 1km radius

     -  over $250 for 5km radius

     -  over $500 for 15km radius

 To coordinate delivery of large catering outside 15km radius, contact Yukako to get future information.

 

6.  What are the delivery times of a catering order?

 

  • Monday to Friday: 11:30am to 6pm    

  • Saturday and Sunday: 11:30am to 6pm.

 Please note that our rules always are first come first service, you sometime need to pick up instead of free delivery. We sometimes don’t accept any order due to special event / large catering order.

 Sorry! Wafu is small business.  All deliveries will have a 1-hour window.

 

7.  How do I make amendments to my order?

  For any order amendments, please send your changes in writing to contact@yukako-wafu.com or 0418592684 by text message before ordering. Yukako will facilitate these changes and will provide confirmation once your order has been successfully modified to your needs. Please ensure all amendment enquiries are made prior to the order cut off time.

8.  What is a cooking service as personal chef?

 

  • Quite simply, a portable service goes to where you need the cooking done! Home, workplace, hire party room, seminar venue-any place where with cooking facilities (at least, kettle plus one of cooking top or oven). For small service, there is an option using a cartridge gas burner, electric table cooking facility. 

  • You also have combination of prepared meals from Wafu kitchen and fresh cooked dishes on a site.

 

9.  How does a family dinner from a catering service?

  • A Wafu’s service cooks meals on site at your home or venue, so meals are always absolutely fresh and go straight onto the table.

  • Wafu respects environment and chooses ingredients and solutions for minimize waste of foods / packages.

  • Yukako will arrange the cooking method suitable for you according to the needs of different diet. And you can also enjoy leftovers as your next meal. 

 There are choosing options from a personal chef service or catering service to match your dinner size or budget.

 

10.  Who uses this service?

 All sorts of people who support "the way of Wafu". Individuals and families, busy working people, mums and dads with newborn babies, those who are treating illness / recovering from illness or who need a special diet.

 

11.  What food do you make?

 Yukako is passionate about making home-style Japanese food and creating fabulous meals that are super healthy too! Wafu's cuisine is designed to improve immunity and support local farmers.

 

12.  How does a Personal chef service that covers a daily meal for a week work?

  • Yukako usually works on weekly or fortnightly basis and prepares a mix of fresh and frozen dishes in a 2-4hours cooking session.

  • There are many options depending on your lifestyle.

 

13.   And for celebrations and group events?

  • Event costs are based on a price per person after detailed discussion with you.

  • Wafu’s party food reminds people of the importance of having an planet-friendly meal during happy party times.

 

14.   What about special dietary need?

  Yes. This is so important for many people. All of Wafu’s ordinary dishes are free from gluten & dairy for people has with serious coeliac disease or most common allergen issue. Case of tree nut, peanut or seed allergy, it still can cook with limited ingredients. Yukako can create dishes to meet any dietary needs, including for medical treatment, Sibo diet, low in fructose or carbohydrates or strict plant-base diet so on.

 Wafu can accept for most dietary requirements. When placing your order, let us know.

15.   Cancellation Policy

  Should you need to cancel your order, the following conditions apply:

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of delivery / service will not be refunded.

  • All cancellation requests for Monday orders must be received no later than 12pm the Friday prior.

 

16.  Which suburb the service covering for?

  •  It welcomes any area to do under safety food hygiene conditions and extra travel charges / minimum order. Minimum ordering size are different according how far from Wafu kitchen, Alexandria NSW. 

  •  You can select other options, such as extra travel fees without a minimum order size.
